February is a month for great Food & Beverage industry related events. Adven will join two networking events in Berlin, both focusing on various aspects of sustainability: Future Bridge’s 2nd Net Zero Food & Beverage Forum and ENG’s 12th Annual Sustainable Development in the Food & Beverage Industry Summit. Adven is a Gold and Silver Sponsor at the events.

Equipped with more than 50 years of experience, Adven is proud to be a strong partner in providing different energy services for the food and beverage sector. The goal of the solutions Adven develops together with the customers is to improve both profitability as well as reduce the environmental impact.

“Many food and beverage companies have committed to Science Based Target Initiative’s Net-Zero Standard, demanding a halving of emissions by 2030. We support customers in delivering on their short- and long-term plans, for example by finding clever ways of reusing excess heat or by building new energy capacity to be able to phase out fossil fuels.” says Adven’s Director, Strategic Customer Management, Food & Beverage Kristaps Greidans.

Roadmap to carbon zero with energy efficiency

Future Bridge’s 2nd Net Zero Food & Beverage Forum: Energy Efficiency and Decarbonisation event is taking place in Berlin, Germany, 1-2 February 2024. The two-day business networking event brings together the senior decision-makers involved in Food and Beverage manufacturing, utility companies, energy providers, as well as infrastructure enablers.

The conference will focus on various aspects of sustainability. It will cover themes like roadmap to carbon zero, sustainable procurement of raw materials, supply chaing decarbonization, and tackling the Scope 3 GHG challenge. The Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard allows companies to assess their entire value chain emissions impact and identify where to focus reduction activities.

The event also covers technical topics such as the integration of sustainable energy, PPA’s (Power Purchase Agreement) role in lowering emissions, building carbon-neutral Food & Beverage facilities, heat recovery projects, and water management

Adven’s Kristaps Greidans and Strategic Customer Manager, Food & Beverage, Willem Korevaar will talk more about energy and water efficiency and discuss ways to together bridge the gap between where we are today and future sustainability targets.

Following questions will be covered:

  • What are typical hurdles in achieving sustainability targets?
  • How can strategic partnerships help closing the gap?
  • Sustainable partnering in practice: Arla Vimmerby

Arla will also answer some of Adven’s questions regarding the ongoing energy project at Arla’s Vimmerby factory.

Adven is this year’s Silver Sponsor at the event.
