Industry leaders, politicians, and initiators of technical innovation, all gathered to discuss maybe one of this year’s main topics – energy transition. In hall 12, accompanied with the EU Commission, and a group of multinational companies, Adven wants to put emphasis on the trade and industries’ importance for long-term industrial transformation.

On top of the Hannover Messe agenda, and part of the European Commission’s focuses for this year, was pressing issues related to transforming industries, energy shortages, and disrupted supply chains. With more than 70% of Europe’s energy production utilizing fossil fuels, many of the services and solutions presented at the exhibition was related to fossil free energy production.

– We have seen different energy solutions and innovations around the halls for transitioning to a more sustainable production, representing the focus areas of Europe. Yet, Adven was one of few companies discussing thermal energy without offering single solutions, says Adven’s Industry Lead for Chemical & Process Industry, Teemu Helistekangas.

The 2023 year’s exhibition united over 130,000 visitors, from Europe, but also from around the world. Special for the Hannover Messe trade fair is the emphasis on energy, and energy-related topics. Both the energy market turbulence of the past years, inflation, and the limited access to fuel, was issues lively discussed during the whole week of the exhibition.

– The changing geopolitical system is increasing the significance of energy related topics across the board. We have just heard a large regional German stand discuss the importance of energy efficiency for industries across Germany. This is why it is important that we are here, in Hannover, says Alun Jones, Senior Advisor at Business Finland, Germany.
