Jonas Sjölander is appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Adven Group, effective from the 1st of November 2024. With nearly 20 years of experience in the energy sector and six years as Senior Vice President of Business Development and M&A at Adven, he will strengthen the company’s role in accelerating the energy transition.

At Adven, Jonas Sjölander has successfully led a number of functions across the group, building trust and insight from a broad mix of stakeholder relationships. Jonas Sjölander’s commitment to delivering service to our customers has led him to chair Adven’s cooperation across existing and new municipal joint ventures. He has also held the position of group CFO and built the organization’s sustainability strategy. Prior to joining Adven, Jonas Sjölander delivered corporate transactions at the Swedish state-owned energy company, Vattenfall.

Jonas Sjölander succeeds Anders Ericsson, who has led the company for 13 years, from establishing Värmevärden and further through the merger with Adven. Anders Ericsson intends to take on new business opportunities and will continue to lead the company during the transition period.
