Building a strong foundation for future growth – new organization structure to support the journey
In a strategic move to accelerate growth and improve operational efficiency Adven has in December 2024 announced a new organizational structure to enhance efficiency and collaboration across all business segments.
This new structure follows the appointment of Jonas Sjölander as CEO in November 2024, marking a new chapter in the company’s ongoing transformation.
The new structure introduces a country-based approach, aligning business segments to local operations for clearer ownership and accountability. This shift aims to improve efficiency by streamlining processes and enhancing communication across different functions. The Group Management Team (GMT) will ensure that all areas of the business and support functions are aligned with strategic priorities.
Jonas Sjölander, commented: “This structure empowers teams to take ownership, improve collaboration, and act with agility. It provides the clarity needed to drive our 2025 priorities – strengthening culture, leadership, and a clear strategic direction.”
Country-based business segments to foster local accountability
The company has grouped its country operations into two primary segments: one for Finland, Estonia, and Latvia, led by SVP, Finland and Baltics Ville Heikkinen and another for Sweden and the Netherlands, led by SVP, Sweden and the Netherlands Henrik Johansson Casimiro. Each segment will manage the entire value chain – projects, fuel, operations & maintenance (O&M), and account management – ensuring accountability at the local level. By aligning these functions, Adven aims to foster closer cooperation, streamline decision-making, and improve the flow of information.
Industrial Energy Solutions continues focus on growth
The Industrial Energy Solutions segment will continue to focus on growth within the industrial market, remaining separate but aligned with the new country-based structure. Juha Elo joins the GMT and is appointed SVP, Industrial Energy Solutions, a critical area for the company’s future expansion.
Group functions to support the growth journey
Group functions will play a vital role in supporting the company’s strategy, nurturing company culture and ensuring the successful implementation of its strategic initiatives.
Eero Siltalehto is appointed SVP, Strategy & M&A and joins Group Management team alongside Hanna Liukkonen who leads the People & Culture function in acting role.
CFO Toni Tamminen and SVP, Legal and Compliance Miika Oksanen as well as SVP, Marketing and Communications Mia Sipilä-Heikura continue in the Group Management Team.
A stronger, more agile future
With the new organizational structure, Adven is well-positioned for growth in 2025 and beyond. Jonas Sjölander emphasized the importance of creating a more agile, accountable, and collaborative organization to meet the demands of an evolving global market.
“This restructuring sets the foundation for our future success. By making roles and responsibilities clearer and more defined and improving collaboration, we can better serve our customers, partners, and employees,” Jonas concluded.
