Adven will take over heat energy production services from SIA VTU Valmiera in the Brandeļi area of Valmiera Municipality in Latvia, to produce sustainable and reliable energy by modernizing and automating the existing boiler house. This marks a significant step in Adven’s development and is part of Adven’s Baltic growth plan.

Until now, SIA VTU Valmiera has managed its boiler house and heating networks in the village of Brandeļi, Kocēni Parish (Valmiera Municipality), alongside providing public transportation services. The boiler house, with an installed capacity of 2.3 MW, supplies heat energy to eight complex buildings, nearby businesses, and three apartment buildings.

SIA VTU Valmiera’s strategic future includes transferring the heat supply service to a professional energy partner, recognizing it as the best solution. This shift allows the company to focus on its core business while ensuring that heat supply services remain safe and sustainable.

“It is a pleasure to start cooperation with a company that has proven its professionalism, reliability, and commitment to sustainable development while expanding its operations in Valmiera. This aligns with the values and goals of SIA VTU Valmiera. We continue to provide high-quality, reliable, and green public transportation services, and I am confident that the same can be said about the heat energy services provided by Adven Latvia in Brandeļi,” says Aigars Vītols, president of the Board of SIA VTU Valmiera.

“We are pleased that more and more companies are interested in energy as a service and choose us as their partner. This enables the company to focus on its core business while leaving energy production to us. We thank SIA VTU Valmiera for their trust, and we will continue creating valuable changes together,” explains Māris Kānītis, board member of Adven Latvia.

Modernization plan

The plan is to transform boiler house to fully automated operations, which in turn will optimize energy production and further reduce its environmental impact. Adven is currently planning the modernization, and the full modernization plan is expected to be completed by the beginning of 2025/2026.
