Adven acquires Österlens Kraft Fjärrvärme AB
Adven announces the acquisition of the district heating company Österlens Kraft Fjärrvärme AB in Simrishamn, Sweden, from Österlens Kraft Ekonomiska Förening. With this, the company will become part of Adven, bringing along over 50 years of experience in district heating. The acquisition is expected to be finalized at the beginning of 2025.

District heating in Simrishamn, like in many other areas, is facing significant investment needs. Here, Adven will build on to the existing operations, ensuring that the district heating business develops in the right direction also in the future.

At the district heating site in Simrishamn, a small team currently manages daily operations. From the start of the new year, the personnel will be able to share experiences and working methods with Adven’s operations team in the south of Sweden. Adven also brings expertise in fuel procurement and project management, which will support the business in its next phase.
